Spiritual meaning of colours – Part 14: ENTHUSIASM

ehthusiasm

Colours are essential for our life. As an artist himself Sri Chinmoy loved colours but he also had a feeling for which qualities come from particular colours. In 1974 the first edition of his book “Colour Kingdom” was published, presenting 52 different shades of colours together with the quality and one poem about the subject. In the next couple of weeks we will present you this series and today we continue with ENTHUSIASM. Feel free to make the color larger (by clicking on it). A video summary of all  52 colours and their meaning (Length: 44:49 min) can be found here: vimeo.com.

“God’s Dreamboat treasures a man of soaring enthusiasm.”

Animal Kingdom 24 – Frog: Enthusiasm

frog
Sri Chinmoy wrote a fascinating little compendium on the spiritual meaning of animals which was published by Agni Press in 1973. Today’s poem features the frog.

Frog: Enthusiasm

Frog, my frog,
Endlessly you jump and jump,
Cheerfully you cover distance,
Proudly you conquer the pride of length.
Who could imagine
That your legs had such spring and strength?
Continue jumping.
In the process of your evolution
And your silver-bright enthusiasm
You are bound to cover
Eternity s length
And sing the song of
salvation-perfection.
