The spiritual meaning of colours – Part 52: VICTORY

Colours are essential for our life. As an artist himself Sri Chinmoy loved colours but he also had a feeling for which qualities come from particular colours. In 1974 the first edition of his book “Colour Kingdom” was published, presenting 52 different shades of colours together with the quality and one poem about the subject. In the next couple of weeks we will present you this series and today we conclude the series with VICTORY. Feel free to make the color larger (by clicking on it). A video summary of all  52 colours and their meaning (Length: 44:49 min) can be found here:

“The victory of human love is confusing.
The vivtory of divine love is illumining.
The victorty of supreme love is fulfilling.”

Animal Kingdom 37 – Peacock: Victory

Sri Chinmoy wrote a fascinating little compendium on the spiritual meaning of animals which was published by Agni Press in 1973. Today’s poem features the peacock.

Peacock: Victory

Peacock, my peacock,
I asked my God
When He will grant me victory.
Smilingly He said:
“Son, not until you stop climbing
The ignorance-tree.”
